Treatment
New Found Glory – All Downhill From Here
New Found Glory is an American rock band from Coral Springs, Florida, formed in 1997. Founding members were lead vocalist Jordan Pundik, guitarists Chad Gilbert and Steve Klein, bassist Ian Grushka and drummer Joe Moreno. Current drummer Cyrus Bolooki replaced Moreno after only a handful of shows and the lineup have since remained unchanged. Their brand of music is drawn from influences such as punk revivalists Green Day and NOFX, to hardcore acts like Hatebreed and Mad ball. The band is noted for their blend of pop melodies with the energy and fast tempos of classic punk rock. Subsequently, they are widely considered a key pioneer in the fusion genre of pop punk. Also noted for their energetic live performances. The five-some have garnered a devout following over the course of their career. The single All Downhill From Here is from the bands fourth album Catalyst and was released as a single on July 23rd 2004.
My video will be all narrative so will feature no footage of the band playing. This came about after watching the video ‘Hit That’ and ‘You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid by The Offspring, another pop-punk band, which served as a big help as to working out the location my video will be shot.
Location & Mise-en-scene
My video will be shot in a cemetery to relate to the negative nature of the lyrics and the gang in the video will wear dark clothing to relate to the sinister nature of their presence whereas the people seen conflicting with them will be wearing lighter clothes to amplify the difference between them. The main person will also be wearing dark clothing as a way of explaining why he manages to avoid problems with the gang until the end when they realise he isn’t one of them. Props will include an ipod, gravestones and possible weapons to be used by the gang.

Below is an image of New Found Glory performing in Providence, Rhode Island.
This shows the typical dress sense of the bands audience, which is ordinary clothing such as t-shirts featuring designs or just being plain. Generally the hair is short or medium length. There are no real massive conventions to stick to in the genre when it comes to clothing.
The typical age range of the audience is generally between 16 – 21 years of age and is mainly male dominated.
